E-Bikes

Electric Bikes are our go-to mode of transportation whenever we travel the great outdoors. Most state parks and even some national parks permit Class 1 and 2 e-bikes. Zion National Park even has an 8 mile (Zion Canyon Scenic Drive) road where you share the road with no vehicles except their shuttle buses!

E-Bike Racks

We highly recommend a 2-bike rack. Here are a few of our favorites. Note: make sure you select a rack that will support the weight of your e-bike and comply within your vehicles tongue weight limits.

The following hitches from OutfitR are built to securely transport heavy electric bikes without the physical strain of lifting them. Engineered exclusively for 2-inch vehicle receivers, their lineup features heavy-duty aluminum and steel models capable of hauling up to 200 lbs for 2-bike setups and up to 250 lbs for 3-bike carriers. These racks feature integrated or attachable folding loading ramps to easily roll heavy bikes into place, wide wheel trays designed to support up to 5-inch fat tires, and an anti-wobble system paired with a 360° swivel design to eliminate off-road swaying. For added convenience, the user-friendly frame easily tilts out of the way for quick trunk access or folds flat against your vehicle for compact storage when not in use.

The following hitches from Young Electric are specifically engineered to solve the weight and lifting challenges of transporting e-bikes.
